"Although not downtown, there were shops and restaurants a few blocks away and you could walk to the Auckland Museum. The Link bus is about 200 metres away and stops at many of the downtown attractions. Getting out of town the next day was no problem with the highway nearby."

"The hotel was easy to find and is less than 30 minutes from the airport even in early morning traffic. My room looked very smart with coffee, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and iron. The bathroom only had a shower and not a bath but was very clean.
The staff were friendly and breakfast was good with either continental buffet or cooked breakfast. The price was right and fine for one night."
