Aore Island Resort 

"Aore Island Resort is a well-run, no-frills resort set on a lovely beach - great for swimming and snorkelling. The bungalows are simple, clean, and comfortable. The management is responsive and friendly. The included breakfast is nothing special, but the lunch and dinner are very good. It is only a 15 min boat ride across the channel from the town of Luganville."

"Family friendly activities at Aore Island Resort that we enjoyed included swimming in the crystal clear pool, going for a paddle along the shore in the resort's traditional outrigger canoe, wandering through the coconut plantation up behind the resort, hermit crab spotting, fish-feeding and spotting from the jetty (where there is a lovely little coral reef and sometimes lionfish to be seen!), plus several trips into Luganville to stock up on delicious tropical fruit from the local market, taste some local lap lap & get a feel for life off the island. The restaurant on the island catered very well for all of our needs - we enjoyed having the Santo steaks, coconut battered mahi mahi, and the creme caramels."
