"Gold Ridge Hotel is about 4 km from the centre of Queenstown, a bit of a walk or short bus ride away. It's sited on raised ground and has great views of the lake and surrounding hills and mountains.
Rooms are plain and comfortable, the beds are fine and the bathroom a good size, including bath. All-in-all a decent base for Queenstown's many attractions."

"Gold Ridge Hotel is out of town and is a steep walk from the bus stop, but we found the location to be ideal, with beautiful view over the lake. There is a convenient regular bus service which runs from Queenstown, or you can hire a taxi.
The rooms overlook the lake and were clean and spacious. The restaurant provided excellent breakfasts and the evening meal we had was good quality at a reasonable cost."
