"We stayed at Hilton Checkers Hotel with our grandkids and everyone loved this place. It's intimate, nicely designed, and the marble bathrooms feel like a hotel in Europe.
The lobby is very compact and had a nice chess set where we sat and played chess for several hours. Also it's within walking distance to everything in Downtown L.A. And right up the street from our favourite restaurant Bottega Louie."

"I stayed here during a conference in Los Angeles. It is a smaller and older hotel with much more character than a normal chain hotel. That was a nice surprise. Front desk staff were great. Views were pretty good - great rooftop lounge with a small pool and gym.
You can't beat the location of Hilton Checkers Hotel - tons of restaurants, Starbucks, etc right around the corner. The area seemed safe as well. Room wasn't huge, but it was comfortable."
