"Kingsgate Hotel Wellington is a great place to stay as it's very close to the ferry. The restaurant downstairs was superb and the prices were good. Everything is quite convenient, with parking available and plenty of nearby cafes and a large supermarket nearby.
We were 2 minutes walk from The Beehive (parliament building) and approx 10 mins from the CBD and waterfront. The room was fairly small, but had everything we needed. It was quiet clean and light."

"We have just had a great weekend in Wellington staying at the Kingsgate Hotel. While this is an older hotel it has had a modest make-over. The beds are comfortable, good linen, towels and all bathroom amenities provided.
We dined in the restaurant and the food was just wonderful. Oh and what about the staff. They couldn't do enough for you. Situated only metres from a great supermarket and up the road from the Beehive. Only a short stroll to Lambton Quay."
