"The Mercure on the Terrace Wellington (not to be confused with Wellington's other Mercure on Willis St) is a pleasant surprise! This is a lower cost hotel and it surpassed my expectations. The location is at the very southern end of the Terrace, among student flats etc, but within easy walking distance of the top of the Cuba Quarter.
We had a room on the top floor with some amazing city views. Great eateries close by like the pizzeria on the corner of Vivian Street and Willis Street. Pizza to die for."

"The hotel is a good, basic one but it is away from the city centre. This is reflected in its price. Obviously there are nicer rooms to be had and presumably they are more expensive.
Mercure Hotel Wellington is close to all the car rental places in Ghuznee Street and you can either walk or grab a taxi down the hill to the Cuba Street Mall with its great shopping and restaurants."
