We knew there had to be a better way to book a hotel. A 'browse', 'compare' and 'book' web site was the answer and Bridge Pacific was born!

We successfully use the power of the Internet to allow you to compare 'real time' prices from multiple sellers. Using clever technology to transfer your hotel preferences to each seller's booking engine, we're the ultimate 'one stop hotel shop'.

Absolutely! Since launching our site in May 2002, thousands of visitors have used our site to book their accommodation. Our uncluttered web site, easy to navigate pages, and clever functionality have brought us success!

The concept of Bridge Pacific came to me in January 2000. Having travelled extensively, I knew there had to be a better way to book accommodation. I like ideas and guidance from a real person but I don't like visiting a travel agents office, especially in my lunch hour or Saturday morning.

It seemed I had to either queue and wait in a travel agent's office or work my way through one tedious web site after another. Neither method was acceptable so I decided to use the convenience of the Internet to combine multiple suppliers and offer guidance and suggestions from a real person if needed.

After my initial revelation, it took me a while to get going. Despite all my technical experience as a system analyst/programmer, I'd never built a web site before. The challenge was daunting but at the same time exciting. My passion to combine travel and technology kept me motivated.

We (Brett McDonald, Kerry Bix and I) launched our site in May 2002. I remember the first day watching the computer screen waiting for our first visitors. We got a couple of nibbles but nobody really took any action. That was OK, we were new. A week later, things were still a little slow however one person had sent us an e-mail asking for information and help.

It took us 2 months to get our first sale! It took longer than planned but nevertheless, we'd succeeded. We knew that if one person liked our web site, then others would follow. Bridge Pacific was on the move!

Since humble beginnings alone in my spare bedroom, thousands of people have used our site to book their accommodation. Bridge Pacific consists of myself and my team; some are full time and some are part time. We have a flexible work ethic plus the Internet allows us to be mobile. We have an excellent internal process where we share the workload and all our pages are compiled electronically.
